Dr. Guangwei Ouyang International Education Entrance Scholarships

It costs almost $100,000 each year to give Dr. Guangwei Ouyang International Education Entrance Scholarships to new international students who have done well in their previous studies and who have been accepted to Douglas College.

What are the benefits of Douglas College? Douglas College inspired its students to do what they loved and be good at it by providing educational experiences that were both challenging and enlightening, as well as opening doors to lives filled with passion and meaning. They treat each other fairly and respectfully at DC, and they serve as role models for ethical behavior in academic, interpersonal, and administrative situations. This is what people say about DC.

When compared to other colleges in British Columbia, Douglas offers the most bachelor’s degrees and post-graduate programs. Douglas is also known for providing students with the academic foundations of a university while also providing them with the practical skills of a college. On an annual basis, close to 17,000 students (including 4,210 international students from over 92 countries) enroll in for-credit courses at Douglas College. Because the college has a strong academic foundation, most of these for-credit courses can be transferred to a number of research universities in British Columbia and across Canada, giving students a wide range of options for meeting their academic goals.

The Training Group and Continuing Education also provide hundreds of short-term, high-quality non-credit courses, programs, and workshops to around 8,500 students in areas such as business, music, health, perinatal, career development, and industry training. Douglas also offers hundreds of short-term, high-quality non-credit courses, programs, and workshops to around 8,500 students through Continuing Education and The Training Group.
