How to Obtain a Student Visa for Canada
To obtain a student visa, complete the following steps:
Obtain a formal letter of acceptance from a Canadian higher education institution that has been recognized. For students who wish to pursue their academic studies in Quebec, In order for the student to be accepted, the government must issue him or her a Certificate of Acceptance (CAQ).
Obtain the application package for a Canadian student visa. This can be obtained from the CIC website. Alternatively, you can apply for a visa at a Canadian visa office or at the Canadian Embassy in your country. Although the latter requires more time and effort, it is potentially more time-and energy-consuming in the long run.
Provide your answers to the bio-data questions on the CIC’s website. These questions will determine whether or not you are eligible to submit an application.
If you are eligible, you will receive a personal checklist code that will be valid for 60 days after you register. The checklist code, on the other hand, is the one that you will use when submitting your application online. Make a hard copy of the page containing the code as well as a soft copy in case you need to refer to it later.
Then, when you’re ready to submit an application, create a MyCIC account. The Personal Checklist Code that was provided to you in Step 4 will be entered into this section.
CIC will receive your application, which you will submit. Before you submit them, double-check that all of your documents are in order and that you have paid all of your fees.
